Shop Stock
The shop tries to cater for locals and visitors alike. We stock all the basics such as baked beans, cornflakes, sugar, etc for the customer who runs out of an item.
We also stock luxury groceries for special occasions including Duchy Chocolates, and delicatessen items including olives and sun dried tomatoes.
The shop has a wide range of fresh items including fruit and vegetables, meat, and dairy items.
We also pride ourselves on having a wide range of local produce, with over 20% of the shop stock coming from within 50 miles of the shop. Several of our suppliers are from surrounding villages.
Delivery Schedule of Fresh Produce
Bread is baked daily
Milk and Cream delivered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
Eggs delivered on a Wednesday
Fish delivered on a Thursday
Poultry delivered on a Tuesday
Meat delivered on a Thursday and Friday
Vegetables delivered on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Cakes delivered on a Tuesday
It is always possible to reserve items or for special orders to be placed

Postal Services
Although not a full post office we offer a range of postal services:
- Stamps, airmail and customs forms
- Recorded and Special Delivery
- A postbox that can take large parcels
- Scales to weigh your parcels
- Size gauges and postage rates charts
Special Diets
We stock Soya Products for those with a dairy intolerance, sugar free items such as biscuits for diabetics and Gluten Free products for Celiacs.
We are always happy to try to stock special products that customers request whenever possible. If you would like us to stock anything for you please email us or pop into the shop and fill in the suggestions folder.
Organic Food
The shop stocks a large selection of organic produce ranging from Jams to Flour, Biscuits to Coffee.
Most of our organic produce comes from Essential Trading, a company based in Bristol.
We also have local organic produce from Ragmans Lane who provide our Fruit Juices, and James Gourmet Coffee who provide coffee for the shop and also the café.
We are in the process of expanding the range especially now that prices for organic produce are falling.
At present non of our fresh produce is organic although most of the local fresh fruit and vegetables are pesticide free but without organic status.
